Beyond the conference rates.
Two ways to weigh it upWhere you stay mostly comes down to whether you will have a car.
Close to campus
Sippy Downs & BuderimThere is very little hotel accommodation immediately around the campus. If being within a few minutes of the venue matters most to you, short-stay rentals through Airbnb or similar are the practical option, and there is usually reasonable choice in Sippy Downs and Buderim.
The trade-off is quiet evenings and fewer places to eat, so plan on a car or on sharing lifts to the social events and the conference dinner.
The larger centres
Maroochydore · Mooloolaba · BuddinaFurther from campus, but far better served by Sunshine Coast bus services — along with restaurants, supermarkets, the beach and more accommodation at every price point. If you are not hiring a car, these are the easier bases.
